Please read these terms and conditions with care since they form an important
part of any contract between you and Connoisseur Policies Limited and you and
Anthony Wakefield & Company Limited and you and Sterling Insurance Company
Limited and by using this site you are deemed to agree to be bound by these
terms. Please also ensure that you have read the Policy Summary and the instructions
on how to use this web site.
Connoisseur Policies Limited
Connoisseur Policies Ltd is an independent intermediary that acts as your agent.
Connoisseur Policies Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary and Appointed Representative
of Anthony Wakefield & Company Limited, who are authorised and regulated
by the Financial Services Authority.
Sterling
Sterling Insurance Company Limited, a member of Sterling Insurance Group Limited,
is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The insurance
provided by this site is underwritten by Sterling.
Arranging Insurance Online
In connection with buying insurance using this site you should be aware of the
following stages in the process:
You will be asked a series of simple questions and to agree to certain statements
in relation to your policy.
These are the questions which form the basis of the insurance and which you
should answer truthfully.
If you wish to insure individual items with a value in excess of £1,000,
please specify these in the spaces provided in the on-line form. Until you have
received confirmation (by e-mail) of acceptance of these values from us, the
sum insured for each such item will be limited to £1,000.
By clicking 'Proceed with Cover' you declare that you wish to take out the cover
provided by Connoisseur Policies Limited as an Appointed Representative of Anthony
Wakefield & Company Limited, who are agents of the Underwriters, Sterling
Insurance Company Limited.
You declare that you have read and understood the Policy Summary and give your
explicit consent that the personal data you provide may be used by Connoisseur
Policies Limited, Anthony Wakefield & Company Limited and Sterling Insurance
Company Ltd, for the purposes of your insurance. This includes underwriting,
processing, claims handling and fraud prevention, which could involve passing
details to agents of Sterling Insurance Company Limited or other insurers. You
also declare that you understand that you are entitled to a copy of your personal
data held by Sterling Insurance Group Limited and/or Connoisseur Policies Limited
and/or Anthony Wakefield & Company Limited upon payment of a fee.
Upon clicking on the relevant button to confirm that you wish to purchase insurance
from us online you are authorising us to debit your credit or debit card with
the amount of the premium due.
We will notify you that the transaction has been completed. You will then be
advised that your policy is effective.
Until you have received confirmation that your policy is effective, you should
not rely upon being covered by the insurance offered by this website.
No policy is valid until the premium has been paid to and accepted by Connoisseur
Policies Limited.
Disclosure of Material Facts
Your attention is particularly drawn to the importance of the Declaration on
the Insurer's proposal form. Any failure to disclose facts material to the insurance
or any inaccuracies in your answers could invalidate your cover. Please do consult
us if you are in doubt on any aspect.
The Service We Offer
It is our intention to provide you with a high level of customer service at
all times. However, if you do feel you have cause to be unhappy in any way with
your insurance cover, in the first instance please contact the Customer Services
Manager who will be pleased to assist you. A more formalised complaints procedure
will be provided in your policy document or on request.
Please note that we only arrange cover for persons who are resident in the UK. If you are resident outside
the UK you should contact an insurer in your own country.
EMails
Please note that there is no guarantee that any e-mail sent to this site will
be received by Connoisseur Policies Limited or that the message will remain
confidential whilst being transmitted.
Important Policy information
On receipt of your payment your policy will be prepared immediately on line.
If you decide that you do not wish to accept this policy, notify us within 14
days of policy cover and, provided no claims have been made, we will refund
the premium.
Copy Policy Documentation
A copy of all our policy documentation is available on the web site. A hard
copy is available on request.
Insurance Premium Tax
Insurance premium tax, as imposed by current legislation, will be incorporated
into all premiums.

a policy online or login to the Customer Administration area.
Data Protection
When we ask for any personal data, or give you the opportunity to supply such
data, it is solely to provide the service or information you have requested.
We may change our privacy policies from time to time, in which case we will
post the changes on this page so that you are always aware of our policies.
In addition to any personal data supplied by you, we may collect the following

for insurance you will signify your consent to such information being processed

It may be disclosed to regulatory bodies for the purposes of monitoring and/or
enforcing the insurer's compliance with any regulatory rules/codes.
In assessing claims made insurers may also check against publicly available
information such as the electoral roll, county court judgements, bankruptcy
orders or repossessions.
Credit Card Transactions
The Consumer Credit Act (1974) also applies to transactions over the Internet.
It limits your maximum liability on your credit card to £50, in the event
of its loss or fraudulent use. Furthermore, all liability ceases completely
once the credit card issuer has been notified of any loss or fraudulent use.
